Make plans for one of Bastrop's signature fall traditions! Hosted by the Bastrop Area Cruisers, Heroes & Hot Rods brings approximately 400 show vehicles and thousands of visitors to downtown for an unforgettable Veterans Day weekend celebration.
Enjoy two days filled with beautiful automobiles, a Friday evening Cruise-In, a Veterans Tribute March and Ceremony, shopping and dining in Historic Downtown Bastrop, and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend.
Admission is FREE for spectators.
About the Bastrop Area Cruisers
Heroes & Hot Rods is proudly hosted by the Bastrop Area Cruisers, a local nonprofit car club founded in 1999 by 26 Bastrop-area residents who shared a passion for classic automobiles and the friendships that come with them. Today, the club continues to bring together automotive enthusiasts while giving back to the community through events, volunteerism, and charitable support.
The club's signature event, Heroes & Hot Rods, has grown into one of Central Texas' premier Veterans Day weekend celebrations. Proceeds from the event support local and regional veteran organizations, Bastrop County high school automotive technology scholarships, and other deserving local charities, making every registration and every visit part of something bigger.

Friday, November 13
Cruise-In on Main Street
5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Kick off the weekend by watching hundreds of classic cars cruise into Historic Downtown Bastrop. Stroll Main Street, meet car owners, grab dinner at one of our local restaurants, and enjoy an evening surrounded by chrome, horsepower, and small-town Texas charm.
Registered show vehicles receive reserved parking on Main Street until 9:00 PM
Saturday, November 14
Car Show
7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Spend the day exploring one of Central Texas' premier classic car shows.
Schedule
- 7:30 AM – Gates open & vehicle check-in
- 10:00 AM – Vehicle check-in closes
- 10:30 AM – Veterans Tribute March
- 11:00 AM – Veterans Tribute Ceremony at the Bastrop County Courthouse Gazebo
- 1:00 PM – Silent Auction closes
- 1:30 PM – Judging concludes
- 3:00 PM – Awards Ceremony in front of the Bastrop Museum & Visitor Center
All active-duty military and veterans are invited to participate in the Veterans Tribute March.
