NEW Temporary Exhibition: Joycelyn Schedler

We are thrilled to welcome Bastrop-local, Joycelyn Schedler as the newest featured artist in our Temporary Exhibition Series.  

Joycelyn will kick off her exhibition in conjunction with Bastrop's June F.A.M.E. Days (Friday Art Market & Entertainment) festivities on June 5, from 6-8pm.  She will be our featured guest, sharing about her work, processes and inspirations.

Joycelyn Schedler spent many afternoons as a young girl drawing in her Big Chief tablet under the live oaks of rural South Texas, USA. Thus began her interest in capturing the beauty of trees, animals, the sky, flowers, waterways and the many other objects of her world.

Artwork by Joycelyn Schedler can be found in homes and businesses across the United States and internationally as well. 

After completing an artist residency at International
Art Residence Pro Vobis in Italy, five of her pieces were selected to be in the 3rd International Contemporary Art Exhibition in Assisi, Italy.  A few years later, Joycelyn taught a 5-day International Pastel Painting workshop in coordination with Schola Artis Pro Vobis in Assisi, Italy.

Sharing her love of the pastel medium with others is a passion for Joycelyn. She leads pastel workshops and teaches an Introduction to Pastels class in private or small class settings. By invitation, Joycelyn has been the Pastel Painting Instructor for A.R.T. at Mo Ranch Conference for several years.
